Chapter 928 – Going out to sea

The mansion by the sea.

Silence….

“You are going?!” Wu Er was shocked. “How are you going to do that?”

Dong Xuebing replied. “I will sail there in your yacht. Your yacht is fast.”

Wu Er was speechless. “But… what can you do there? How are you going to rescue those fishermen? Japan had cordoned that sea.”

Dong Xuebing nonchalantly replied. “I will find a way when I get there, and I need to check the situation first. I had tolerated these bastards for a while.”

Wu Er and Youyou did not think Dong Xuebing could do anything there. He will be facing the Japanese Coast Guards and their vessels. Even if they did not use their guns, they would crash into other boats with their vessels. How was Dong Xuebing going to get past their cordon and save the Chinese fishermen? It might be possible if the yacht can fly. Wu Er tried to stop Dong Xuebing. “Xiao Dong, I can lend you the yacht, but you should not go there. It’s too risky. You might not return if anything happens. Those Japanese are unreasonable. Look at what they had done. They dared to crash into our boats in our sea and leave them to die. They are inhumane!”

Dong Xuebing scoffed. “That’s the reason why I must go.”

“Xiao Dong.” Wu Er smacked his lips. “Don’t say these in a fit of anger. It’s dangerous.”

Youyou had a good impression of Dong Xuebing after receiving the beautiful necklace from him. She tried to persuade him. “That’s right, Brother Dong. You can’t do anything there. It’s meaningless to go.”

Wu Er looked at Xie Huilan. “Hurry and persuade him. Don’t let Xiao Dong go.”

Xie Huilan paused for a second and looked at Dong Xuebing. “Are you confident?”

Dong Xuebing nodded. “It should not be a problem if I go.”

Xie Huilan nodded and smiled. “Ok, Haha…. I will go with you.”

Xie Hao cheered. “Great! I am going too! Bring me along.”

Xie Jing laughed. “It should not be a problem if Brother-in-law is going. I want to go too.”

Wu Er and Youyou were stunned by Dong Xuebing’s family. Instead of stopping him, they wanted to go too.

What’s wrong with this family?

“Xiao Dong, you all….” Wu Er was speechless.

Xie Hao patted Wu Er’s shoulder and said. “Hehe…. Don’t worry, Mr. Wu. Nothing will happen to my Brother-in-law. I had been waiting for him to say this. I don’t want to be left out this time. He had always been in the limelight in the past, and I didn’t even have the chance to see it. He must bring me along this time.”

Xie Huilan said. “You all should wait here. I will go with your Brother-in-law.”

Xie Hao disagreed. “No! I want to go too.”

Xie Jing laughed. “Sis, bring me along too.”

Sun Kai said. “If Jingjing is going, I am going too. I will not allow those Japanese to harm our people!”

Xie Jing looked at Sun Kai and nodded.

Xie Ran smiled wearily. “Can you all calm down? Sis, you should calm down too. It’s dangerous there, and you should stop, Brother-in-law.”

Xie Huilan smiled. “He will not listen to me. Even if I don’t let him go, he will sneak out on a boat to sea. Which one of you can stop him?”

Xie Ran kept quiet. From previous experiences, no one can change Dong Xuebing’s mind once he sets his mind.

Dong Xuebing insisted. “Huilan, you cannot go.”

Xie Huilan looked at him and smiled. “Why can’t I go?”

“You are pregnant. What if something happens to you at sea? You will remain here. Xiao Ran, take care of your Sister.” Dong Xuebing replied.

Xie Huilan argued. “If I am not going, you are not allowed to go too. Stay here with me.”

Dong Xuebing looked at her. “Do you think you can stop me? That’s settled.”

Xie Huilan touched her tummy and asked. “Are you sure you can do it?”

Dong Xuebing smiled. “You should know me. Even if I can’t rescue our civilians, I can escape easily.”

If someone else said this, no one would believe him.

But it’s different for Dong Xuebing.

Dong Xuebing had eliminated a group of pirates armed with AK 47 by himself without a scratch. No one in the Xie Family would doubt his combat skills.

Xie Hao shouted. “Brother-in-law, let’s set off before it’s too late.”

Dong Xuebing looked at Xie Huilan, waiting for her approval. He does not want to bring Xie Hao and Xie Jing along.

Xie Huilan paused for a second and smiled. “Since they want to go, bring them along. But you must promise me.”

Dong Xuebing asked. “What?”

“Bring them back safely.”

“Don’t worry. Nothing will happen to them.” Dong Xuebing can ensure their safety even though he was reluctant to bring them along.

Xie Huilan nodded. “If you cannot get past the cordon, stay with the rescue party.”

“I know.”

Xie Huilan looked at Xie Hao and Xie Jing. “You all must follow your Brother-in-law’s orders at sea. Do whatever he says. If you cannot follow his orders, don’t go. Although he is rash and impulsive, he has experienced dangerous situations in the past few years.”

Dong Xuebing did not expect Xie Huilan to trust him.

Xie Hao grumbled. “Sis, don’t worry.”

Xie Jing added. “We will listen to Brother-in-law.”

Xie Huilan looked at Dong Xuebing. “I am leaving my brother and sister with you. You must bring them back safely.”

Dong Xuebing nodded.

Dong Xuebing, Xie Hao, Xie Jing, and Sun Kai started preparing for their adventure.

Wu Er was dumbfounded. Saving those fishermen from the Japanese Coast Guard in a yacht?! These people are crazy.

The nationalism in the novel is the same as Extraordinary Genius.

It was the end of the translation of EG.

I hope it does not happen with P&W too.

Honestly, it’s not really unexpected. Any political novel or movie will be nationalistic in the favour of the country that wrote it. I would say this is surprisingly tamed for a Chinese book. Especially because of the topic it’s based around. I expect things to become a bit more nationalistic as he climbs the ranks and actually has an effect on foreign and local policies.

Exactly. The same thing happens in novels and other medias from different countries, not limited to those from China.

But for some… it’s different once translated in English, it become something that should not be…
