Dong Xuebing’s apartment. Bedroom.
A few doves rested and flapped their wings on the windowsills before flying away.
A man and a woman were hugging on the bed.
Dong Xuebing woke up and yawned. He opened his eyes and saw a pair of coffee-colored heels. Sister Xu’s clothes hung on the bedrest of his chair. Her bra and underwear were on the chair, too. He recalled last night, especially when she kneeled beside him and used her mouth. Ah… it felt so good.
Dong Xuebing turned and saw a beautiful woman’s back.
Sister Xu was still sleeping under the blanket.
Dong Xuebing smiled to himself. They had done it in many positions last night but slept back facing each other. He knows he is not the only one uneasy when facing Sister Xu. She felt the same too. Their age gap was too broad.
He needs to get used and overcome it.
Dong Xuebing blinked and turned. He reached over to hug Sister Xu’s waist under the blanket.
Her waist was curvy and soft.
He could feel her hips and slim waist. Her body is sexy.

Dong Xuebing looked at his watch. “It’s after 6 am. It’s still early. You can go back to bed if you are sleepy.”
“Yes. I want to sleep a while more. I am tired.” Xu Yan’s shoulder seemed to be sore. She massaged her shoulders and turned to face Dong Xuebing.

Xu Yan yawned and stroked her hair before closing her eyes. She placed her hand over Dong Xuebing’s.
Dong Xuebing moved and held her hand.
Xu Yan patted Dong Xuebing’s hand lightly. “Let’s sleep.”
“I am not tired. I will get up first.”
“Ok. I will continue sleeping.”
“Go ahead. I will prepare breakfast for you.”
“No need. I will do it later.”
“You are tired. Let me do it.”
To overcome his phobia, Dong Xuebing looked at Sister Xu and kissed her forehead and lips.
Xu Yan turned away. “Stop it, you brat.”
“Huh? Let me kiss you before I get up.” Dong Xuebing said.
“I used my mouth last night… It’s dirty.”
“It’s fine. I am not scared of it.”
“Wait until I wash up.” Xu Yan pulled back her hand from Dong Xuebing and smacked her butt. “All right. Stop fooling around. Didn’t you have enough last night? Let me sleep for a while more. I cannot open my eyes.”

Dong Xuebing blushed and stopped disturbing Sister Xu. He got out of bed lightly and took his clothes. He left the room and closed the door behind him. He puts on his clothes outside as he is embarrassed to get dressed inside.

Dong Xuebing washed up and prepared breakfast.
Dong Xuebing has lots of time. He cut up the cabbages and beat a few eggs. Afterward, he sliced the meat he bought from the market yesterday into small strips. He was going to make beef and egg congee. He would not put in so much effort if he were alone. He would eat yesterday’s leftovers. He wanted to make a good breakfast for Xu Yan as she was feeling down. He boiled the rice and stir fry the Beef. He added salt, eggs, and other seasonings and did not take his eyes off the congee. He stared at the clay pot until the congee was cooked.
After 7 am.
Dong Xuebing turned off the fire, and the bedroom door opened.
Xu Yan walked out in her blouse and skirt. She did not button her top few buttons, and Dong Xuebing could see her black bra. “Is it done?”
Dong Xuebing laughed. “You came out at the right time.”
Xu Yan buttoned her blouse and said. “Didn’t I ask you to wait for me? You prepared dinner last night.”
“It’s fine. Go and wash up. I will get a bowl of congee for you. Let it cool down, or it will be too hot.” Dong Xuebing scooped a bowl of congee from the clay pot.
Xu Yan went to the bathroom.
Five minutes later, both sat at the table.
Dong Xuebing smiled as he passed her a spoon. “I seldom make congee. Taste it and let me know where I can improve.”
Xu Yan smiled. “What is this congee?”
“Huh? Do you want to hear its fanciful name or a normal one?”
“There are so many names to it? Haha… Tell me both.”
“The fanciful name is Tender Beef Congee with egg. Normal name is Beef, cabbage, and egg congee.”
“Tender Beef congee with egg sounds nicer. All right. Let me have a taste.” Xu Yan took a small sip and nodded. “Hmm… It’s delicious. You don’t need to change anything. It is delicious.”
“I’m glad you like it.”
“Stop looking at me. You should eat, too.”
Both started eating.
Dong Xuebing asked while eating. “It’s been a while since you were transferred to Fen Zhou City. How’s your work?”
“It’s the same.” Xu Yan replied. “There’s nothing much in State Security. Oh, is your county under Qing Xi Province?”
Dong Xuebing looked at Xu Yan. “Yes. What’s wrong?”

“A quarrel?”

Dong Xuebing’s face changed. “He hit you?”
Xu Yan refused to answer. “All right. Let’s eat.”
“Did he hit you?” Dong Xuebing puts down his spoon. He was not in the mood to eat. “What happened exactly? Tell me!”
Xu Yan kept quiet for a moment and said. “We were agitated, and my Ex’s current wife was shouting beside us. When I said I would see him in court, he punched me. It caught me by surprise.
