I am a Primitive Man
Chapter 568 – giving birth in the toilet
Bai Xue stood there slightly bent over for a while, with her hand pressed against her abdomen. She endured the pain and continued to place mulberry leaves into the basket.
Once the leaves were placed, she slowly went to a nearby stone and sat down carefully.
She had experienced stomach pain before. Usually, it would pass if she just endured it for a while or went to the toilet.
So, after sitting for a moment, pressing her hand to her stomach, Bai Xue got up slowly, supporting herself with the stone, and headed toward the toilet.
However, a warm flow suddenly rushed out before she could reach the toilet, soaking her clothes.
Bai Xue’s face immediately turned bitter. She tried her best to hold it in but still hadn’t reached the toilet.
In the tribe, no one did their business outside anymore, but today, she had done so…
She stood there for a while in regret, and suddenly, her stomach hurt even more. The urge to relieve herself grew stronger.
After what had just happened, Bai Xue didn’t dare to delay even for a moment. She pressed her hand to her stomach and hurried toward the toilet.
Arriving at the toilet, she untied her waist belt, took off her wet clothes, and quickly squatted down.
The pain came in waves, making her face pale and her body tremble.
Bai Xue felt terrified. She thought she might die.
Not only was her stomach aching unbearably, but she was also losing a lot of blood.
The pain continued, growing stronger, and the fear of death enveloped her, causing her to sob quietly.
The light in the toilet dimmed, and an old figure entered. It was the elderly Fire Two.
She had come to use the toilet but heard the crying and hurried over. When she looked inside, she saw Bai Xue squatting there, sobbing.
“What’s wrong?” Fire Two asked, her voice trembling with concern.
She recognized Bai Xue.
Fire Two greatly admired her, and so did the rest of the tribe.
It wasn’t just because she was the consort of the divine child, beloved by him. More importantly, Bai Xue was hardworking, and the clothes she wore were the finest in the tribe—no one could surpass her.
While asking, though frail, Fire Two hurried toward Bai Xue with a shaky step.
She looked even older now; her teeth were almost all gone, and those that remained were severely damaged.
In the past, even with the tribe’s abundant food supply, it would have been extremely hard for someone like Fire Two to survive because of her bad teeth.
However, with Han Cheng’s arrival and the creation of pottery, there was now more liquid food and people with bad teeth could eat without trouble.
“I… My stomach… hurts…” Bai Xue sobbed.
“I… I think I’m going to die. I want to… I want to see Brother Cheng…”
Fire Two had already reached Bai Xue and, hearing her words became even more worried.
Her eyesight was poor, so she bent down to examine Bai Xue’s condition. After a while, she understood the situation.
“You’re going to give birth!” Fire Two said with a sigh of relief, smiling.
“Wait a bit longer, and the baby will come out.”
Bai Xue was stunned. She hadn’t thought of that at all.
After a brief pause, she realized what Fire Two had meant. After a moment of shock, she felt both surprised and delighted.
However, before she could fully process these feelings, they were interrupted by another intense wave of pain.
Her face turned pale instantly, and she couldn’t suppress the pain, remembering how Brother Cheng had first made love to her.
At the time, it had seemed painful, but now she realized that pain was nothing compared to what she was feeling now.
Bai Xue tightly clenched her hands, her face pale, and cold sweat poured down as she endured the agonizing pain for some time.
“She’s showing! She’s showing!”
As Bai Xue recovered, Fire Two’s joyful voice rang out.
Bai Xue looked down and saw something slippery starting to show, which filled her heart with great joy.
“Get up; don’t squat there!”
Fire Two, so overjoyed that she forgot about her business in the toilet, suddenly realized a serious issue. She quickly spoke and reached out to pull Bai Xue.
Bai Xue, who was focusing on pushing the child out, froze for a moment after hearing Fire Two, then realized the danger and quickly got up from the toilet seat despite the pain.
The baby would likely fall into the wrong place if she had stayed there.
“She’s giving birth! Bai Xue is giving birth…”
After supporting Bai Xue to a safer spot in the toilet, Fire Two, though trembling, ran outside the toilet and loudly shouted.
Her shouting quickly caught the attention of others…
“Giving birth! Giving birth! Bai Xue is giving birth!”
Tie Tou, busy in the deer pen, had been given orders by Ru Hua. As soon as he left the courtyard, he started running toward the quarry.
From a distance, when he saw Han Cheng and the others near the quarry, he raised his voice and yelled while running faster.
“Tie Tou, what’s he shouting about?”
Han Cheng, who had been weighing copper ingots with Shi Tou and the others, heard the noise and looked over, recognizing Tie Tou running toward them.
The others also turned to look, wondering if something significant had happened in the tribe.
“It sounds like he’s saying Bai Xue is giving birth.”
Stone, the youngest with the sharpest hearing, listened carefully and repeated what he thought he heard with a hint of uncertainty.
Bai Xue is giving birth…
Han Cheng repeated the phrase and quickly realized what was happening. His body tensed with shock.
“What?!”
“Tie Tou says Bai Xue is giving birth.”
Within moments, Tie Tou ran closer, his voice clearer, confirming Shi Tou’s words.
Hearing this, the rest listened more closely and realized Tie Tou was shouting that Bai Xue was giving birth.
Is she giving birth now?
Han Cheng felt caught off guard.
“You all keep working, and I’ll head back!”
After a brief shock, Han Cheng urgently spoke, handing the scale to Shi Tou, and rushed out.
Like a startled rabbit, he sprinted back toward the tribe, quickly leaping over a nearly two-meter ditch.
Shaman, the eldest senior brother, and the second senior brother stood frozen, watching Han Cheng’s back. Only then did they realize the divine child could run so fast.
After a moment of astonishment, Shaman opened his mouth, smiling. The birth of every baby in the tribe filled him with heartfelt joy.
The elder brothers also smiled but couldn’t quite understand the divine child’s intense reaction.
Their spouses had all given birth, some even more than once. When they received the news, none of them had reacted so strongly.
