Isolation Room.
Things were awkward after Zhong Lizhen’s bra incident, but it made them less nervous.
“Are we ready to go, Professor Zhong?” Dong Xuebing asked.
Zhong Lizhen nodded and held that wire. “I am opening the door.”
“Ok. I am ready.” Click! Dong Xuebing clocked his gun.
Zhong Lizhen did not move and looked at him. “You will attract more people if you open fire.”
Dong Xuebing was helpless. He gasped at Zhong Lizhen’s character. She is inflexible, and it’s useless to argue with her. He kept his gun and took out two steak knives. “Are these fine?”
“Steak knives?”
“These will not make any sounds.”
“Ok. I want to know about your combat abilities.”
“I don’t know how to explain to you. Just go. It will be fine.”
“We will be facing a few dozen of soldiers. How are we going to walk out? I want to know about your abilities first.”

“Why are you keeping quiet?”

The isolation room’s door opened slightly.
Zhong Lizhen planned to creep to the elevator and go downstairs as there were lesser people on level six. However, two armed soldiers were guarding outside. They saw the door opening and saw Zhong Lizhen and Dong Xuebing. They were waiting for David, and they were surprised to see a young man.
“Who are you?!”
“Stop there!”
Both soldiers pointed their guns at Dong Xuebing.
“Watch out!” Zhong Lizhong warned.
Dong Xuebing took a big stride forward and got close to the soldiers before they could release the safety of their guns.

Two steak knives flashed, and blood gushed from the soldiers’ necks. They collapsed and died.
Zhong Lizhen was stunned. She did not expect Dong Xuebing to be so calm and fast in front of guns. She looked at the two bodies and turned pale. She turned aside and started puking again.
“Are you ok?”
“I am… fine.”
Dong Xuebing thought to himself. How is this fine? He held Zhong Lizhen’s hand and walked forward. “Don’t think or look at anything. Try to find something to block your ears and follow me.”
Zhong Lizhen covered her mouth and followed Dong Xuebing.
“Where is the elevator?”
“East side.”
“I came from that side. There are a lot of people there. Are there any alternative routes?”
“There’s a stair.” Zhong Lizhen replied. “In front.”
Dong Xuebing had walked past the stair earlier and remembered where it was. He walked towards the stairs quickly, and Zhong Lizhen followed behind.
They reached the stairs, and no one was there.
Dong Xuebing pulled Zhong Lizhen, and they went down the stairs.
Dong Xuebing wanted to rush to the ground floor, but Zhong Lizhen stopped on the fifth floor.
“Wait….”
“What’s wrong?”
“The research materials. I need to make a copy.”
“Didn’t it all in your brain?”
“I will need to recalculate the data, which will take at least six months to a year. It will be great if we can get it now.”
“Ok. Which way?”
“Just go to any office on the fifth floor. I can hack their system.”
Dong Xuebing did not hesitate. He turned and walked out of the stairs. Zhong Lizhen followed behind while trying not to puke. They reached an office, and she quickly entered a pin. The door opened.
“Come in, quick.”
“Ok.”
They entered the office and closed the door.
Dong Xuebing asked. “How long do you need?”
“Around five minutes. No… four minutes will do.” Zhong Lizhen was in a rush. She sat in front of a PC and said. “I will try my best. Those two soldiers’ bodies should not have been discovered so fast. After all, that is the isolation area on level six. No one will go there.”
Dong Xuebing calmly replied. “It’s fine. Just do what you need.”
Zhong Lizhen’s expression changed when she was in front of the PC. She did not look pale and weak and was focused. She pushed her gold-rimmed glasses up and started typing furiously.
This was Zhong Lizhen’s expertise.
Dong Xuebing felt Zhong Lizhen was very attractive at this moment.

It seemed the PC had sounded an alarm.
“What’s happening?” Dong Xuebing was confused.
“Nothing.” Zhong Lizhen continued to type on the keyboard furiously. “The system had sounded an alarm, but I had switched it off.”
“Since you are so good at hacking, why can’t you hack into their system after we return?”
“The research center’s system is not connected to the internet. It will be too late after we get back.”

Zhong Lizhen was being polite. Her actual meaning was, “What do you know?”
Sigh…. No wonder Zhong Lizhen was regarded as Professor Chen’s top student. She was at least ten times smarter than Dong Xuebing.
Dong Xuebing kept quiet and stood by the door.
About four minutes later.
Zhong Lizhen pulled out a USB drive and kept it in her pocket. She thought for a while and took it out again. She gave it to Dong Xuebing. “You keep it. This is most of my research results, and most of the crucial parts are in my head. The value of this data is worth more than you can imagine. I want you to keep and return it if I did not make it.”
Dong Xuebing kept the USB drive and looked at Zhong Lizhen. “I will hold on to it first. But I will not leave without you.”
“Ok.”
“Oh, what about the other research?”
“What do you mean by other research?”
“All the research in this research center. Make a copy of everything. Anyway, we still got time.”
Zhong Lizhen frowned. “Those are not my research.”
“Just take it.”
“This is my principal.” Zhong Lizhen replied. “This USB drive contains my research. My teacher and I formulated it, and I worked on it in China for a few years. I continued working on it for ten years here. It was all done by me, and no other researchers participated. That’s why I can bring it with me. Other researchers do the other research, and I cannot steal their hard work.”
“But they treated you like this….”
“I don’t care how they treated me. I got to respect other people’s hard work.” Zhong Lizhen looked at Dong Xuebing. “I know you don’t understand, and I don’t need you to understand. We can go now. I am here only to bring back my work.”
Dong Xuebing was speechless. This woman is too rigid.
Just grab whatever there is, and who cares about them?
Dong Xuebing saw the look in Zhong Lizhen’s eyes and did not argue with her. This is her character, and trying and changing her mind is pointless.
“Let’s go.” Dong Xuebing said.
Zhong Lizhen nodded and walked over.
